Set up on-call schedules

Rotate on-call responsibility daily or weekly and link schedules to alert rules.

On-call schedules (/on-call) define who receives alert notifications at any given time.

  1. Create a schedule with a name and timezone.
  2. Add a rotation — daily or weekly with handoff time (and day for weekly).
  3. Add entries: team members or external email/phone contacts.
  4. Link the schedule to an alert rule to route notifications to the current on-call person.
